Waiting (SOL18 #10)

Last night I spent the evening watching her watching the door. Every once in a while there would be a forlorn moan followed by a glance over her shoulder at the parent who was there. Her eyes said it all.

"Soon enough, pup."

After an audible sigh, she would put her head back down and continue gazing at the door, just hoping for the more fun parent to come home from poker night.

  1. What a sweet post! I love how you referred to your pup as "her" in your writing and I totally know what her eyes were saying. She was missing her daddy! Thanks for sharing and adding the picture. Her ears show how she's listening and waiting :)

  3. Hah! I laughed at this, because last night I came home late from a conference when my husband was already in bed, and the cat who sleeps with me was giving me the side-eye, like "where the heck have you been? it's cold over here!" Gotta love our babies and how much they miss us. Hope your husband gave her some love when he got home!
